Out of the bowl
Daniel from Peninsula Fixed Gear tried to air out of the bowl over a trash can. The guys went to Greer (P.A.) and rode the park. They got a bunch of photos of Daniel getting air and Scott doing barspin to fakie in the deep end of the bowl. More here. You're lucky, here in Germany it's snowing!
DMR 2010 Freestyle Fixed Fork
It seems that DMR Bikes from UK is coming out with a trick fork for 2010. Looks a little similar to Volume's Fu Manchu fork, eh? Tokyo Fixed Gear added some pictures to their Flickr. According to rumors its half the weight of all the competition and still comes with the strength. I wonder if there is a frame in the pipeline?

Viktor Vauthier
Viktor Vauthier has been taking photos of his nice 14 Bike Co. A black and beautiful ESB frame with one of those orange BMX bars and then a lovely lady on it. Viktor has landed himself his very own 14 Bike Co. ESB trick frame, and he built it up a week or two ago. If you don’t know him already, check out his blog.

14 & FGLDN
Yesterday I wrote about 14 Bike Co's new freestyle frame. The 14 & FGLDN frame built by SuperTed. Fixed Gear London just added this sick shot to their Flickr. It's got Romain, he rides for 14 Bike Co, mid-air x-up off a quarter. All on this new pretty sharp frame. Looks great guys!

14 Bike Co Magalog
The London-based shop and frame company 14 Bike Co just posted a pdf catalog to their blog. It explains their design philosophy and profiles their framebuilders, riders and bikes. So download it here!

My personal highlight is the handbuilt ESB frame. All-new and built to last. Designed for the latest generation of fixed freestyle tricks. Super durable, with a good strength-to-weight ratio. A shallower head tube angle and longer head tube gives maximum toe clearance for barspins. Wide tyres(42mm) are accommodated with ease. Fillet-brazed for a smooth finish and slightly more flexible feel. More to come.
I love the end of the TT extension.

Thrasher Build
The last few days I posted all the news about Volume Bikes new project, the Thrasher. After a few informations and shots, they published a picture of the final Thrasher frame. Now they just posted a Thrasher prototype build to their blog. Looks really great. The Fu-manchu looks pretty nice on that build, but there's still a prototype fork to come.
Looks like a super cool frame, nice work guys, but how do people feel about the switch to a mid BB. It requires people to commit to another crank setup. If you were running Omniums or some other track crank, you can't put them on a bike with a Mid BB. Maybe they could make it in mid and euro? Some people consider that the euro bb doesn't last, if you're riding your bike hitting gaps and such. The bearings blow. They're just too small. Mid is possibly the proper solution for that. I'm running BMX cranks already, so I just need to drop another 30 Euro or so on a BB. It's good value to have a lot more tire clearance and no more tire overlap! What's your opinion?
I like these pictures, but I'd love a chart of the current geometry.

Dual Compound Sessions
New Dual Compounds from Fyxation. These new tires are available in orange, pink, white and green. These Sessions are different in that they have a black stripe down the middle of each tire. This is the same compound as their all black tire and has a similar hardness to a long wearing touring tire. The point of the dual compounds is to offer a long wearing color tire that can be used as a rear specific tire or on both the front and rear.
In the past we talked about tire wear, skidding and how color tires by nature are a softer compound than black tires. 'The dual compound Session 700 gives you the best of both worlds. Great vibrant colors on the sidewall with a hard black center strip for longer wear.' That would be great!
The new dual compound Session 700 tires are now shipping. 700×28c and foldable with a super tough 120TPI carcass and Kevlar rolling
protection.

Emi + San Diego
I think everybody knows these shots from Emi Brown in San Diego by Matt Lingo. Patrick posted them on Pedal Consumption for some time past. They're really great and I like those photos very much. So I post these again.
Emi Brown is riding for Leader. He is an amazing rider and you will be seeing a lot more from him in the future.

The final Thrasher
Volume Bikes published a picture of the final Thrasher. The full frame pic as promised! The color is a gold flake over black. But they'll probably keep the specs a secret till they get closer to production. This is what we needed. From the sounds of it, everything that should have been on the Cutter, is gettin on this. Better tire clearance, less overlap... Looking good, guys.
I think there is a new fork for this frame, but no specs or pics of it yet.
